Do you wear sunscreen daily? It took me a while to get into the habit. I’ve been told by every skin care specialist that it’s the number one thing you can do to prevent aging skin. Where were all these experts when I was slathering on the baby oil and laying in the sun for hours as a teen?

Wear sunscreen on your face and hands daily, regardless of the season.

Adding another layer of lotion once you’ve done everything else: serums and moisturizers, takes only a few seconds and you’ll get in the habit quickly.

On most days I just go with a drugstore economy bottle of Banana Boat. However, when I want my face to look a bit more presentable I want something that is not so heavy or that leaves a ‘white tint’.

My current go-to choice is Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Liquid. The lotion applies easily and soaks into the skin quickly, even over the other products. At 70 SPF it’s about the strongest protection available and is water resistant up to 80 minutes. With both UVA (skin aging rays) and UVB (burning rays) protection it has you covered in more ways than one.

The not so fun part is it’s crazy expensive (at least in my world) at $11 for a 1.4 oz tube. Holy smokes! Now you know why I only use it when I want my face to look great.

Give it a try and see if you don’t love it for a ‘special day’ protection.
